Present Continuous Tense

Definition & Usage:

Present Continuous Tense is used to express something general in a period of time and in progress at the moment of speaking.

Summary :
1. Expressing something general in a period of time

   For Examples:

   Budi is working for PT.ABC now.
   My brother Paul is taking a course of English this year.

2. Expressing something in progress at the moment of speaking.


   For Examples:

   The baby is sleeping now.
   He is cooking for launch in the kitchen.
   Andrea is helping his father in the garden.


Pattern :
Note: Present Continuous or Present Progressive Tense has only Verbal Sentence. Nominal Sentence is turned into Nominal Sentence in Simple Present Tense.

A. Verbal Sentence 

   Subject + Be + Present Participle(Ing-Form Verb) + Object/Adverb

   For Example:

   (+) She is sleeping soundly.
   (-) She is not sleeping soundly.
   (?) Is she sleeping soundly?.

B. Nominal Sentence
